Welcome to Aesthete Gallery presents: The Black Renaissance Art Showcase!
Join us for a night of celebration and appreciation of Black art and culture. This in-person event will take place on Wednesday, February 19th at 5:00 PM at the Kennesaw State University, Carmichael Student Center University Rooms.
Come and immerse yourself in a diverse collection of artworks created by talented, local Black artists. Experience the beauty, creativity, and passion that each piece embodies. This showcase is a tribute to the resilience and creativity of the Black community, highlighting the rich cultural heritage and artistic expressions. There will be music, fun, and connection!
For so long, art has been a staple in the black community. We show it through our hair, our clothes, music, and visual arts. My hope is to bring awareness, diving into the rich history of art in black culture. As a first-time curator (Aesthete Gallery) of this event and an artist myself, it was dear to me to have the opportunity to host this night for our Black artists! This event will include a presentation and interviews exploring rich history in honor of Black History Month, that will play while attendees appreciate the art, a few performances, music, and fun! Come ready to absorb, observe work, dance, and meet new people!
